These are horrible! Gave me a headache! April 19, 2012

Reviewer: Therese O.

Several years ago I tried these and they were absolutely delicious, I couldn't get enough; but I tried them again today and they are horrible! My mouth and throat are burning and I feel a headache coming on. Very disappointing!

Disgusting garbage April 1, 2012

Reviewer: Anarella M.

My grown son insist on eating nothing but Organic. So, instead of just eating the naturally raised turkey burgers from the local supermarket, he insist on buying this trash even though he doesn't like the taste much. I myself and my husband have tried these burgers over and over. We cannot blame the poor taste and quality on one particular batch. The poor quality and poor taste is consistent over time. In fact, we get headaches - myself included - whenever we eat these turkey burgers (without any breads of flavorings even). This junk reminds me of the pink slime. Applegate products in general are quite disgusting. They are probably a scam too. The regular conventional meats taste much better. I hate this company. They don't care about the customer at all. These turkey burgers are simply white slime. Never again. I am avoiding this brand altogether.

Why is customer service giving 5 stars in their response to dissatisfied customers? March 29, 2012

Reviewer: Sandy S.

I was just rereading my review when I noticed that Applegate customer service leaves itself 5 stars every time they respond to a negative review. I wondered why the star rating was so high and now it makes sense. At first I was just disappointed with the product but now I question company practices and integrity.

Yuck March 29, 2012

Reviewer: Sandy S.

I enjoy most Applegate products but these were awful. There was no seasoning and the taste was unpleasant. The consistency was rubbery and unnatural. I really tried to eat it but ended up feeding it to my dogs. The remaining three patties will be expensive dog treats.

These are tasty and easy to prep February 10, 2012

Reviewer: Taylor S.

Couldn't stop eating these!! I like putting a little avocado and salsa with these on a bun. Healthy and sooooo tasty not to mention easy to make. They go straight from the freezer to the stove, no thaw time. Love it!

Yum! December 25, 2011

Reviewer: Andrea S.

It appars that the folks leaving the bad reviews do not understand that you really need to season a turkey burger. I empty the burgers into a bowl and add garlic grated onion, parsley, egg, bread crumbs, olive oil, ketchup and form my own burgers. Grill them on the George Forman grill and they taste great!

Generally quite good December 16, 2011

Reviewer: Jeff B.

Overall, these burgers are very good. I fry them up in a pan with a little oil and serve them in a pretty standard fashion. Almost all the meat I eat is turkey and chicken, and these burgers fit right in flavour-wise. The appearance and frying experience do vary somewhat. Sometimes I'll get very pale burgers (more breast meat?) that don't fry up very dark and sometimes seem to contain more water, while other times the frozen burgers will be very red and look and smell almost like beef while cooking. But the end result is always something I can enjoy.

Tasty and easy November 25, 2011

Reviewer: Wynn H.

I was looking for a safely raised, safe to eat organic turkey burger and these fit the bill! Easy to cook for my family in fry pan. Nice and lean and only rosemary added - we'd rather add what we want. Thanks for a quality product available in a "regular" grocery store (does not entail a special trip to special foods store).

Quality Assurance October 26, 2011

Reviewer: Applegate *.

Dear Debbie – Sorry to hear of your negative experience. I can assure you that our turkey burgers are made from whole muscle meat – turkey thigh & breast. There is minimal seasoning in this product, only Organic Rosemary. There is a slight purge when you cook them, this is normal. But the a bad odor or taste is not normal and I would encourage you to call us to do a quality assurance check. 1-866-587-5858. Thank you!

not a fan October 25, 2011

Reviewer: debbie h.

I was excited to try these, but this is the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. I normally love turkey and turkey burgers. I cooked them on my George Forman and I am hoping the smell eventually dissapates from the grill and my house. I have cooked beef on the grill and never seen this much greasy liquid come out. I had to empty the tray to finish cooking two burgers. I could not detect any seasoning. It smelled and tasted as if it was made entirely of ground skin. I even tried drowning them in BBQ sauce and it just couldn't overpower the horrible flavor and smell. I threw them out along with the other two left in the box. I couldn't even give them to my dogs. That was a waste of money! I hate that I can't find anything good to say about them. I don't want to sound like I am angry or unfair. Since there are so many other good reviews, maybe there was something wrong with the package I bought.

Wonderful Burgers August 31, 2011

Reviewer: Ann H.

These turkey burgers are wonderful! They are well seasoned and full of flavor. I usually cook them for 12 minutes (6 minutes on each side) on my gas grill. This is a great, healthy lunch that is easy to prepare.

Texture and Taste August 17, 2011

Reviewer: Applegate *.

Thanks for writing in Gary with your comments, we’d like to be able to talk to you more about your batch of burgers as what your describing in texture and taste is definitely not what we expect from our product! Hand-trimmed, certified organic turkey, should be juicy and full of flavor! Let’s work this out together, please call 1-866-587-5858 toll free for Customer Service. Thanks again!

Not good August 16, 2011

Reviewer: Gary G.

Our family has been eating ground turkey for the last twenty years. Both my daughters grew up eating turkey burgers, not beef burgers. We love ground turkey. We typically eat Jennie-O fresh turkey burgers or fresh ground turkey from Whole foods at least once a week. We love Applegate products and saw this in our local HEB supermarket. We brought it home and cooked it up.The only thing more disappointing then tonight's turkey burger dinner was trying BBQ in New Jersey. The product was overground and had a mushy texture. There was only a slight metallic flavor otherwise it was hard to tell their was a turkey burger between the buns. You guys are giving turkey burgers a bad name.

Wonderful Dinner May 21, 2011

I tried your turkey burgers for the first time tonight. They were a hit! Easy to make, great taste, and the fact that they are healthier for all involved in the process makes them a new staple in my home. Thank you!

Bad Turkey Burgers! April 26, 2011

Reviewer: Patrick S.

I have eaten both the organic beef and turkey burgers for some time now. The beef burgers are great BUT the turkey burgers are terrible. When cooked they become watery, loose and break apart. And are essentially bland and tasteless. For some reason they weren't like this and tasted better before being in the new packaging. Did the processing of the burger change as well? Also noticed no expiration date on the new packaging. Box Code #2531756500. No more turkey burgers for me!
