Best Hot Dogs Ever & Healthy!! May 11, 2012
Reviewer: Robert B.
I do not care if you blind fold me I will be able to pick these out they are so good and unique! Now add the fact the cows are pasture raised and fed and humanly treated until the end. I can feed these to myself and my entire family finally without a guilty conscience !! I love these for the taste and feel good about what I am eating. I can't say that about many foods. I will be sure to try more products. Availability is limited in Long Beach ca. Thank God for Trader Joe's!! How could anyone complain for the beat tasting hot dogs that are healthy not CAFO gmo fed cow meat. The difference between the Applegate meat and typical CAFO meat is night and day, yet when I go to the grocery store and get another brands "Angus " beef it is a dollar or more than these. I am very grateful to Applegate!! I will spread the word and be a customer for life!

Reviewer: Leslie H.
We love these, and are grateful to Trader Joe's for carrying them, BUT: I don't understand why the nutritional information listed here differs from the figures on the packaging we purchase. (and yesss: it's the same product!) Please clarify.
Thank you!

The Greatest Hot Dogs March 16, 2012
Reviewer: Brandin R.
These I'd say are the best hot dogs I ever ate! My mom says they were more filling than the typical hot dogs she ate before. Its because they are so meaty and real! Yes, there are many who may find these hot dogs expensive, but they are totally worth it! At least every once in a while because a total diet of mostly meats isn't the healthiest. Its best to eat a low consumption of meats because its healthier! You can make these hot dogs completely with other organic toppings, such as ketchup and mustard along with some onions. Use organic hot dog bread such as Rudi's or whatever brand you prefer, and you're ready to go! I'd say def give them a try! I'd much rather eat meat from animals that were not shot up with unnecessary antibiotics and growth hormones. The meat taste so much better and is much healthier with out all that. Plus the animals ate off of pasture or an all organic diet. It is great that there is a choice on the market for an organic hot dog! Thank you Applegate Farms!

Organic Spices March 1, 2012
Reviewer: shirley m.
What exactly is included in the ingredient listed as "Organic Spices"? My husband cannot have pepper of any kind and I need to know if pepper or anything of the like is included in the spices used. I am excited to hopefully try these! Thanks!

Food Allergy February 20, 2012
Reviewer: Applegate *.
Hello Rebecca. None of our products have peanuts or tree nuts in them. In terms of milk, our cheeses, pot pie and organic spinach & feta sausage are a no-go for daughter. And the corn dog and pot pie have egg in them. There is mustard in our BBQ chicken. Feel free to call customer service at 1-866-587-5858 if you need more help.

Ingredient Question February 17, 2012
Reviewer: Rebecca N.
I love these! Do your hot dogs contain sesame seeds, mustard, poppy seeds, or other seeds? My daughter has peanut, tree nut, dairy, egg, and seed allergies and I'd love to feed these to her if I can! Thanks for your reply.

A Nitrate/Nitrite free hotdog that is excellent.
Are there any tenderizers used in processing? I am taking a prescription that warns against any prepared meats because of the possibility of an adverse reaction to tenderizers.

FINALLY! February 13, 2012
Reviewer: Linda H.
Everybody needs a hot dog now and then, and if you refuse to eat corn syrup and nitrate dogs, you're usually out of luck. These hot dogs, which I discovered while shopping at Meijer (who has the most organics in my area) were not only everything I wanted/did not want on the label, but taste like I always imagined one could! Almost like my German grandma just out the beef through the grinder and boiled them up. I've told everyone about how gret they are, and now I'm onto your uncured bacon. So I no longer have to drive 50 miles for the occasional uncured bacon (not very "green" of me). I'm just hoping that Meijer will eventually stock your chickens too, then I will truly be in heaven. I saw that Dr. Oz listed your dogs in his top 99 foods recently, so I'm hoping that it will increase your business even more. People can get the message that "junk" food doesn;t have to be junk! Yea for Applegate!

One step away from perfection January 25, 2012
Reviewer: Naomi L.
Ordinarily, our family prefers only to eat animal products that are certified kosher, but sometomes we're too poor to choose, so we ended up trying out a bag of Applegate Organic Natural Beef Hotdogs which had been donated to a local food bank. We don't even know where they are sold in our area, but they are the best tasting hot dogs and I also appreciate the company's commitment to quality, health, and social responsibility. If only this product were certified kosher, you folks would have a loyal customer for life, and I would gladly advertise it to all my friends! Thank you. Sincerely, Mrs. Naomi Levell

No Casing December 14, 2011
Reviewer: Applegate *.
Hello WS, please know we use a collagen cellulose casing to cook our dogs in, but please know it is removed before being packaged. The only hot dog that has a proper casing is our Natural Big Apple Hot Dogs which is in a lamb casing and it states it on package and our website. Thanks!

Haven't tried because... December 12, 2011
Reviewer: W S.
There is no indication on any of your hot dog and sausage products what type of casing is used. Last thing I want is an all beef hot dog in a pork casing.
