Why no minis March 29, 2012
Reviewer: Cynthia N.
I love the applegate products and my 3-yr old just began asking for sausage. We were excited to introduce another item into her diet and felt good about applegate sausage. I have seen mini versions of this flavor sausage made by other brands (fresh & easy, to name one) and I'd love to see applegate do them too. They are so easy to cook up and for little hands to pick up and eat. My daughter will enjoy the ones available for now, of course!

No Casing December 19, 2011
Reviewer: Applegate *.
Hello Kitty! “The skin” that you are talking about is actually the proteins that rise to the surface when cooking, so that’s why it might still have a “bite” even though it doesn’t have a casing. A “no casing” call out on package is an interesting one and I will make sure to bring the suggestion to the team. To find a store in your area, try our store locator http://bit.ly/1ULpSZ - also, please know you can buy direct from us at store.applegatefarms.com – Thanks!

Skinless? December 17, 2011
Reviewer: Kitty C.
When I "cook" the sausage, or reheat it, something like a skin appears on the surface with juices bubbling just under it. However, your answer to others avers that the sausages are packed into cellulose, cooked, and the cellulose removed. Why not add "cellulose casing removed after cooking" so that those of us who wish to avoid pork will be positively reassured and buy without hesitation? This would qualify as kosher in my book, no rabbi needed to interpret plain scripture. BTW, I can no longer find your products in the Aiken Publix. Too bad, I'll keep looking there and elsewhere.

Our little foodie loves these! December 16, 2011
Reviewer: Andrea S.
Our 2-year old has been organic from birth, and I just recently added these sausages to our shopping list. Our little foodie (who eats well anyway) asks for these sausages with his pancakes now, and loves them for lunch. Though the sodium is high per link to me, I am happy with them and I now keep a pack on hand.
For the adults that are thinking of trying them, they are delicious. I look forward to trying them in different recipes.
Thank you Applegate, for making better-for-us sausage links. (And, I love the slogan "changing the meat we eat!")

Hesitant at first, but...now I'm in love! November 30, 2011

A little hesitant to try the the chicken/apple because I love spice! The sweet sausage pairs great with spicy pasta/veggie combo and pairs great with my organic non-hmo diet!

Chicken and apple breakfast sausage November 18, 2011
Reviewer: Stacey M.
This is probably the best breakfast sausage I have ever tasted - organic or not. I would buy this just for flavor even without the added bonus of it being extremely healthy in comparison to other sausages.

I love these sausage; i first found these sausage and turkey hot dogs when I lived in Humboldt County, California. I am sooooo excited I can now enjoy them again here in Utah. I found a local retailer which carries Applegate Farms products.

Without Casing July 8, 2011
Reviewer: Applegate *.
Dear Marymin,
All of our sausages are made without casings. The meat is stuffed into cellulose casings and cooked. The casings are then removed prior to packaging. Hope that helps!

pork casings? July 7, 2011

I was wondering if all non-pork Applegate sausages were made without pork casings? If so, what are the casings made of?

I'm so thankful I found these at my local Giant grocery store. They don't stay on the shelf long so I buy multiple boxes when I see them. My 14 mo old son is allergic to wheat, casein and egg, and these sausages are a lifesaver for meals for him. Thanks for making a great product.

Delicious! June 6, 2011
Reviewer: Amy P.
These chicken and apple sausages are sooo delicious! I'm not usually a sausage lover, but I was intrigued by Applegate Farm products and their "lack" of ingredients :) I am so glad I picked them up- they are juicy, savory & sweet with a bit of kick. My one year old loves them, and I'm always hoping she leaves a piece or two behind so I can snag another bite!
I would rate them 5 stars, but am giving 4 because I too would like more clarification on "organic spices." Other than that, they are perfect!

My whole family gets excited over this chicken sausage - even my 2-year-old. We eat it plain, or with pasta and veggies, or with pierogies. I love the flavor and consistency.

Perfect for Special Diets April 10, 2011
Reviewer: Lauricia M.
My son has an Autistic spectrum disorder and cannot digest complex carbohydrates, so processed meats which contain sugars or starches have been banned for most of his life. It is almost impossible to find hotdogs or sausages that do not contain sugar or corn syrup. Impossible, that is, until I found Applegate Farms. Their deli meats, hotdogs, and chicken and apple sausage have become staples in our house. They are some of the few meats my son can and will eat. Even better, now he can have hotdogs with the rest of his friends. Thank you, Applegate Farms, for the quality and minimilistic nature of your products

Delicious and free of all those nasty things you don't want to eat! January 10, 2011
Reviewer: Corinne H.
This is my go to sausage. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks can all be made better with the addition of a chicken apple sausage. I love that I don't have to worry about gluten or dairy being in these, so I can make delicious and allergy-free foods to share with my family and friends. My little 1 year old absolutely adores these as well and will steal mine off my plate if I'm not watching. The sweetness of the apple brings out the savoriness of the chicken. My only issue with these sausages is that I am constantly craving them.
