Last year Applegate took to the road in a decked-out school bus to meet face-to-face with the people who served as the engine behind the Real Food Evolution and helped companies like ours grow in the process! In each city we visited, we brought an element of Food, Art and Play by giving away free organic grass-fed beef hot dogs, brightening communities with murals, engaging kids with creative activities and providing people with a space to kick back and listen to some local music. Check out the map to see if we visited your neighborhood! If we haven’t come to your area, drop us an email letting us know why we should add your town as a stop this year at tourstop@applegate.com

Bev K. The Paramus Run, a community event that draws about 1,200 adult runners and 250 children would like to have your company represented at our race. Most runners are very food conscious so I think this would be a good event for your marketing.
Jennifer O. This past summer, Millbury hosted its very first farmer's market. Wwe will be celebrating our bicentennial next year! It is a beautiful New England town, but it would be more beautiful if the only supermarket in town (a family-owned store) carried all of your products.
Elaine H. Although you came close to WI on the 2011 tour, you didn't make it into our neighborhood. Milwaukee is a good stop - it is on Lake MI and has a great festival grounds for an event. Also, there is great urban farming development there, inspired by Growing Power owner Will Allen. The whole idea of healthy, wholesome food, especially for urban centers is very important.
Elizabeth B. I noticed you are on tour! That is awesome! Please include Thyme & Season Natural Market in Hamden, CT as one of your tour stops. I work there, and we have been around for 15 years with an ever expanding customer base. We frequently have events such as Gluten Free day, Local Products Day, Picnic Day, Vegan Day (probably not applicable), and Fair Trade Day, amongst others, where we sample relevant products and have freebies and educational sessions for customers. We'd love to make you part of that!
JW P. Applegate is our number one sales of package meats at our Reno Whole Foods Market. The sale of your product has been up by at lest a third since last year. A little attention could add to our growth, and more sales for you.
Matilde N. I discovered your products in Miami, FL when I started searching for healthier alternatives for bacon. Since, I have begun purchasing Applegate ham, turkey, hot dogs and cheese. When I moved to Durham, I was concerned about being able to get my hands on Applegate products. I'm glad I was able to find them. I absolutely love that you are a socially responsible company and that's why I am willing pay more for your products. I would love for you to tour Durham. From what I can see, these people are a good bunch: a welcoming community, supportive of health and the environment. I'm sure they would welcome the Applegate tour bus!
Vickie M. I am the Program Director at Community Health Action Network a non-profit organization in the high desert region of Southern California. Our county, San Bernardino County, is the second largest county in the United States and has one of the highest rates of diabetes and childhood obesity rates in the country. One of the purposes of our organization is educating low-income families and other at-risk individuals in our community on how to eat better. As you can imagine, it is an uphill battle! People automatically associate “healthy” with bland, tastelessness or time-consuming, arduous food preparation. We need food companies like Applegate to join us in our campaign in helping to convince people that good food CAN be flavorful, convenient and fun to prepare! We are planning a series of Healthy Lunch Hour and healthy Bar-b-que events for the upcoming year.
Please put us on your tour stop!

It’s Demo Del here! Can you believe it, I’ve been working at Applegate for over 5 years?! I was actually quite overweight when I took the job here and it’s only because I learned more about food and nutrition through Applegate that I’ve lost over 65lbs! Now I come to stores near you to help you learn how to cook healthy recipes that you (and even your kids) will love. Even if you have food allergies or sensitivities, I’ll show you that it doesn’t have to be hard at meal time! I look forward to meeting you at one of our Applegate events for some tastings and giveaways!
