Loved the old recipe July 18, 2010

Please bring back the original recipe. The new flavor is not great. Love the new packaging just not the new sausages. We stocked up on the old fortunately! Thank you!

Bring back the old July 8, 2010

Reviewer: Marianne W.

I have to agree with everyone on the new change to your sausage. It does not taste nearly as good as the old recipe and the new boxes do not keep them as fresh as the plastic bags. I wish you really would reconsider this and bring back the old sausage. It was so wonderful and as the saying goes "why mess with a good thing".

what happend? :( July 5, 2010

Reviewer: CLAUDINE W.

First of all, I am ok w/smaller packaging, BUT not having a plastic wrap really dries out what used to be my favorite frozen chicken/apple sausages. Second, What happend to them? They are awful! Very unpleasant taste, I am very sad and upset that these have completly changed for the worse. Please bring back the old ones. :( I am now going to buy another brand.

BRING BACK THE OLD RECIPE June 27, 2010

Reviewer: Rachel C.

I am heartened that so many have written the same thing. The new recipe is AWFUL. More calories, more fat, less taste, smaller size- what's to like? For this much fat and calories, I can eat Jones Light- and they have the same packaging!

Bad taste, more fat, less protein June 26, 2010

Please bring back to old recipe! The taste is not good and there is too much fat in the new recipe. Thank you.

Bring back old recipe June 23, 2010

I used to LOVE my Applegate Chicken apple sausage... until you changed the recipe. It's so bad now I will start buying Shelton's breakfast sausage. At least I can eat that. I am so disappointed. Your new recipe tastes so bad that I cannot even take another bite - whatever you did to them, bring back the original recipe, PLEASE!

Recipe Changed June 6, 2010

Reviewer: Jason R.

The new recipe is dreadful. These breakfast sausages were my family's favorite before the recipe changed. We will not buy them again unless the company reverts back to the old recipe. Whatever spice was added/changed is simply overpowering.

Bring back the old recipe PLEASE! June 3, 2010

Reviewer: K A.

I couldn't agree more with the recent comments below. These sausages were my absolute favorite breakfast food, until the recipe changed. I also noticed the nutritional information changed (it's not the same that is still listed here on the website). The serving size is now 2 links instead of 3, and has more calories and less protein. The new packaging contains fewer links, but remains the same price. What happened!? Please go back to the original!!

What happened?? May 31, 2010

Reviewer: Karen N.

My 4 year old daughter (with a wheat allergy) became hooked on these sausages when she was one year old. They have been a staple of her diet. She took one bite of the "new" ones a said "yuck, too spicy". She wouldn't touch any more of them. She used to finish 3-4 at a sitting. Please bring back the old version, otherwise I am going to have to search for a new brand (that is wheat-free) to convince her to try. Not an easy feat.

bring back the old recipe... May 28, 2010

Reviewer: nicole s.

while the new packaging is fine, the new sausages are terrible...just terrible...not even worth a half of a star (but it made me give it at least one star to submit this post). i had to go out and buy up all of the old boxes b/c the new ones are that bad...what a drag. i wont be buying these anymore, unless you bring back the old recipe.

severe disappointment May 22, 2010

I wrote a review previously on these sausages because they were my absolute favorite. I don't know what you did but they are different now and totally terrible. I will never buy them again unless you can assure me personally that you went back to the old way of making them.

What happened!?!?!? May 21, 2010

Reviewer: Bob N.

I am not sure what you guys did, but the sausages are absolutely horrible! You made a really big mistake. Our family previously bought 3-4 packages A WEEK. We no longer buy your product. We tried to switch to the sage variety in hopes of a tasty, juicy reminder of the past, but that sausage was even worse. Your "new and improved" sausages remind me of organic frozen varieties of 20 years ago, when the intentions were good but the preparation was horrible. Or, they stayed on the shelf forever because nobody bought frozen organic back then. To be precise, your recent offerings taste like something from a dirty 7-11 that has been sitting out on a rotisserie for days AND then you left it out to get cold AND then you microwaved again to warm it back up. Disgusting! The sad part about it is that I don't know how you will redeem yourself. Because your product is also expensive, I will not experiment to see if you return to your old ways. You just lost a customer.

Please bring back the old sausages May 7, 2010

These used to be the best sausages but over the last two months something has changed besides the packaging. They have lost their flavor and seem to be more mushy than usual. Please, please, please go back to the old sausage.

changes April 29, 2010

Reviewer: Lisa R.

The new packaging is great. The texture and flavor change not so good. I'm disappointed. Although the ingredients listed are the same, minus the soybean oil, this is not the same sausage. It has a spicier chemical taste. It has a finer texture that I don't care for either. It reminds me more of junky minute sausage now . :(

These are my favorite sausages ever! I make sure I have at least 2 boxes on hand as the local market runs out of them quickly and I don't want to miss out.

I love this sausage! It is so hard to find good turkey breakfast sausage but you have nailed it...nothing gross inside and tastes great! I travel all the way to Whole Foods to get it!

Absolutely Delicious! March 8, 2010

Reviewer: Michelle C.

I love it when I find foods that I can feel great about eating AND taste amazing! The first time I had these sausages, I was blown away by how delicious they are. I put a tiny bit of water in a frying pan, cover them, and let them cook for a few minutes while I'm getting the rest of breakfast ready. Since they're pre-browned, they come out great. (Haven't tried the microwave as the other reviewer suggested, but I could see how that would work great, too). I then slice the sausages in half lengthwise and have them with an over medium egg on Ezekiel bread for a super yummy and healthy breakfast sandwich. Enjoy! :)
